IN OUR CHRISTMAS PORTFOLIO  we offer four unique golden, one silver and one copper restrike to the attention of our customers. All the six items are excellent purchase for collection and for investment as well – these coins are considered to be not only historical masterpieces but also extremely stable value investments. These are period pieces which show up very rarely and are very hardly available.

THE COINS MADE OF ALTOGETHER ONLY IN 100 COPIES  were manufactured by Hungarian Mint Ltd. using the original coin dies, same as the original weight, diameter and fineness. The new pieces differ from the original ones only so that in the field part of the obverse a small mark can be seen: „BP.”, as well as the plate-mark of the gold is a sun-disk without a ray wreath (a point in the middle of the circle), and the fineness index value: 900 (that is the purity of gold is 900/1000)..

Apart from the new markings these pieces are virtually indistinguishable from the original coins of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Hungarian Mint Ltd. guarantees the small number of copies and confirms it in writing documented in the certificate given with the coins. After manufacture the tools will be given to the Coins Collection of The Hungarian National Museum, so other copies cannot be made. Our company gives a gift box for the flawless Brilliant Uncirculated coins. The original, period copies are very rare, almost impossible to get them, that is why only the restrikes can serve as aids to complete the so called full series (series created from the different variations, year numbers etc. of the  given denominations). The ready-made 100 copies is a small amount compared to the number of the Hungarian coin collectors. Therefore these gold coins are considered to be not only stable value investments, but because of the expected steady demand growth a constant enhancement of value can be forecasted.

IT IS IDEAL GIFT FOR COLLECTORS AS WELL AS HISTORY LOVERS, EXCELLENT LONG-TERM INVESTMENT.

4 Forint – 10 Franc Kremnica with the portrait of the elderly Franz Joseph

In 1880 in Kremnica coins were minted from this denomination with two different portraits, first with the Franz Joseph imagery used from 1870 and later in line with the changes of the passing ten years with his elderly portrait as well. Only a very small number of copies were made of this latter one – much less common than the previous one. The original pieces in moderately good condition are worth of HUF 2 million at auctions. Not a single piece of Brilliant Uncirculated coins has got under a hammer in the last 20 years.

4 Forint - 10 Frank 1892 Kremnica

The original coin was minted only in a total 23 copies (!). The reason for that was the change of money system in 1892, that time 10 crowns were made in large amount for daily circulation. The occurrence of the original piece in private circulation is totally hopeless, the last one’s known sale price was EURO 22,000+20% commission. (At the above ones the unusual dual denomination 4 Forint – 10 Franc was owing to the joining to the Latin Monetary Union, after 1892 dual-denomination coins were not minted any longer.)4 Forint - 10 Frank 1892 KB
